The toilet convo made me think about what age can a boy go in the ladies room?
What age would you think was weird?

DH can take him or I can probably use a companion restroom at DLR. But if I can’t find one and there’s an immediate need...

my kid is 5 with mild delays. Can toilet at home but often very slow. May get distracted alone in the men’s room. 🤷‍♀️

Five is fine. I sometimes see signs at places like the rec center or zoo saying older than six is the cutoff for using the other bathroom or a family room.

I always brought my son into the ladies room with me until he was about nine and even then I would at times if I felt uncomfortable to send him into the men’s room alone. But I’m extra paranoid about creepers. Just because you’re at Disney, doesn’t mean they’re not there.

I’ve never once had anyone look twice at us. Moms especially understand I think.

Telling someone to walk away from a thread that they started is strange to me. lol

I took the response to mean that the poster was supporting the OP. Letting OP know that there is for sure nothing at all wrong or weird with a 5 year old boy using the ladies' restroom. Sort of a "don't worry about that in the least" -- and no need to stick around and read any responses that might make OP second guess that and worry about taking a 5 year old in. Not sure I am explaining very well, but I took it as a form of support.

That would make more sense. Thanks.

Likewise. I’m not sure how the poster intended it but it felt/sounded rude to me.
She's doing it half jokingly because these threads are notorious. People will start posting how they bring older and older kids into women's bathrooms (we already have an eight-year-old and a nine-year-old in this thread...soon it will hit the early teens.) Then others will start calling those people out. It is often hilarious but not particularly helpful.

Yep, exactly that. These threads tend to take on a life of their own.
