boy do I need help!!!!

We just got a new video camera--this one has a nite setting so I was wondering what is the best way to pratice with it so I can get some good video of darker rides and attractions?((where v taping is ok)--the camera doesnt have a lite on it.

also with a still camera--Ive noticed on the DIS how beautiful alot of the pictures are

what I like about them is theres alot going on in the picture-

I hope I can explaine this--like when I take a picture of the castle going down Main street I get just the castle pictures I see on here have the shops and everything else looking down main street--I guess what Im looking for is how do you get pictures that are so full of detail

Good night photos with a still camera really almost need some kind of tripod or other support system, that gives enough time for sufficient light to enter the camera.

With your videocamera, I don't think there's any magic to it, but if you can, please be kind to others and don't leave your LCD open, they can be very distracting especially on rides like PotC (not so much an issue on rides like Haunted Mansion.)

I'm sort of in the same boat, I got my video camera in December and haven't really played with it a bunch yet but I'm going to make a more conscious effort to do so.

The one thing that I've heard from other camcorder owners is to hold on whatever you're shooting for an extra second or too so that your audience can see exactly what you were looking at.

I have a sneaking suspicion that my DW will be the one manning the camcorder and I'll have to still camera; do you guys have any tips on where to practice shooting at night? I was thinking about going to our local zoo and checking out the reptile area where it's fairly dark.

could you maybe need a wider angle lens? ( like the small mm ie 24 mm). i am guessing you have a point and shoot but have you tried taking shots with out zooming...no zoom would probably be your widest angle. that would take in more side to side where as the more you zoom, the closer it looks in length but the narrower it is also. is that what you mean about the shops and stuff?
