Boxing Day memories for us are remembering and honoring a classmate of my son, Jane Creba, who was murdered on Boxing Day, 2005. He still wears a green apple rememberance band on his wrist in her honor. It will forever live in our minds.
We don't buy into the Boxing Day madness. Just another reason to spend money for things we don't really need because it's "on sale". The sales are rarely better than any other time of year.
Fighting for a parking space, standing in long lines and wasting money is what I think of when I think of Boxing Day.
I love relaxing on Boxing Day. We love playing games with the kids, watching a movie and having a leisurely, lazy family day.
Rest in Peace, Jane.
