Bowing to girls wearing princess ears?

Someone told me that if your daughter wears princess ears, the characters will bow to them. Does anyone know about this? Which ears work? Where is the first place you can buy them when you enter Magic Kingdom?

I don't know about this but I do know that I put on my Minnie ears from the time I hit the parks until it is time to pack to go home. I have been bowed to, called Minnie, been told I look beautiful today , been called a princess when I was with DD, and so on. It always makes me smile and brings the magic a little closer to home!

When DH and I were honeymooning at WDW I wore the headband with the ears and veil on them. Most of the characters would bow to me. It was a little strange since I am a grown woman but it sure was fun! But I don't know if they only did that to a "big kid" since it was obviously our honeymoon! It was a blast, the best place on earth to celebrate!!

It depends on the character performer! There's no rule saying they have to bow to princess hats, but some do it just for fun! (I know I do!) Once, I was "with" one of Cinderella's mice at 1900 Park and a fullgrown man had on a crown for his birthday. I did a full sweeping curtsy all the way to the ground.

You can buy hats at just about any store on property that sells generic WDW merchandise.

Last year I took my dd (6) for her birthday and they gave her a crown to wear. Several of the CMs bowed to her. She thought it was great.

my dd has a princess ears hat - it's a tall pointy one with a veil. She got loads of comments and got called Princess a lot, I don't remember any bowing, but she did get made a fuss off.
