There is a running track on deck 4. Yes, you are allowed to walk, run, jog on the ship. There are treadmills in the fitness center.

What I did today--arranged transportation to the airport.

One gift per cabin is the plan. We are scattered all over the ship so it may take a little time to make gift delivery. The spreadsheet is at this link (assuming I got it to work :) )

Okie Dokie I made the big plunge, last minute of course, and signed the master sheet for FE group 3... and although my name is at number "11," I'm pretty sure it's really number 10?? :woohoo:

If it's indeed closed, no worries, just let me know...if anyone knows. lol
Sorry, I'm directionally challenged & am not sure who to ask, even though I know I've seen the lay of the land many times... :3dglasses

I think that we are right above you. FE is new to us too. We're still trying to learn all about it. Have you heard how often you treat? Is it a one time/cruise thing, every day or what?

I think I remember reading something about the fact that you should not run or jog on deck, maybe several hundred pages back, and I can't remember why...was it something to do with the instability of a rocking boat, potential for injury, etc?? Is there a treadmill in the gym, and if so, is it safe to run on that? Thanks in advance for your replies....see you all soon!!:)

There was a story of something slipping and breaking a collarbone (?) Is this how the game gossip goes - by the time it gets passed on, she will be in a coma?

Now here's the rest of the story .... and I'm not starting a fire - but it starts with fire. As I was saying so very long ago, smoking is allowed on one side of Deck 4 and on Deck 10, so if you cannot stand smoke when you are walking/running, you might have to do half the trip and turn around - that's how I avoided it. Or run on the treadmills in the gym - that place is underused, so you should be able to keep up your marathon training.

If there are smokers on Deck 4 while I'm running, I just use that as motivation to pick up the pace and get past them. I still plan on using the gym at least once, since I haven't yet on any of my cruises.

If I can't make into the gym with 6 sea days in a row, then I never will.:thumbsup2

Thanks for this information. So we do one gift ( I assume a basket or something that includes everyone in the cabin), right? Now is there a specific day or time that we should deliver this? This is our 5th Disney Cruise, but our first FE participation, just want to make sure that we do this right. Thanks so much for the directions.

Sewed new buttons on my tux vest tonight. :thumbsup2 Still need to do door magnets and TAXES :headache:

I love Christmas any time of the year. I watch Polor Express all year long. Christmas only in December is like saying Disney is only for Kids. Both is for dreaming.

Don't get me wrong. It is a very well done movie. If you haven't see then by all means take the time to see it. My husband and I enjoyed it so much. The graphics are amazing! I was just hoping for something else. :confused3

I do the singing Christmas Trees at my church so I am immersed in Christmas music starting in September. I love it because Christmas is my favorite time of the year. But usually after it is over I like a break until at least June or July:rotfl:

I think it was more of a caution to be careful. Someone posted that a lady was running and fell and broke a collar bone.

Hi all! Quickly trying to catch up on this thread and get re-excited about this vacation. I had such great intentions on what we'd have done this week, but I am also right on the RI/MA line and have spent the last 36 hours trying to help my husband keep the water under control in our basement. (Missymowse - we're one town up the road in Rehoboth. I was down in your neck of the woods yesterday morning trying to buy a second sump pump!)

We have a finished basement that we've only had issues with once before, but this time around it is totally trashed... need new carpet, new drywall, new tile in the bathroom. On the bright side, maybe now I can convince my hubby to paint the ugly color that's in there! Our main concern right now are trying to get any water removal company in here in the next week. DH was briefly wondering if we were going to have to cancel yesterday (when we weren't sure if we could save the furnace.) :scared1:

So now I have 8 days until DMIL arrives, the contents of our basement family room are strewn in the living room, all my packing organization was shot in our rush to get everything upstairs, and I can't use the washer as it's sitting in an inch of water right now. (Hasn't gotten damaged yet but it makes me nervous.) So much for a relaxing Easter weekend - we're now so far behind that we'll be lucky not to be naked on the cruise! :rotfl2:

Bumblebee - I had originally asked about running on the deck. I'm going to play it by ear depending on sea heights, but running too much on the treadmill bothers my knee.

Hope everyone is enjoying our final countdown!!!

Erin

MissErin and all other DISers fighting flood waters:

The pictures on the news has been horrible and the reality of living it must be even worse.:scared1: Our hearts and prayers go out to all of you. Hope you can get everything under control and not have to think about it while on the cruise.:guilty: May you have the vacation of your dreams and not come home to a nightmare. Talk about needing a vacation!!!

Well, I did hear that the broadway version of Mary Poppins was a bit more austere than the movie & the reviews from New York aren't great - but I'm no theater buff, so I'm hoping that ignorance prevails and I really like it :goodvibes

With regards to the time change....has anyone thought to wake up super early one day and do the change all at once (or over 2 days) instead of little by little? I read recently that it's easier on your body if you take one night light on sleep rather than ticking away one hour each night.

Any advice on this??

Another Bare Mineral girl here :thumbsup2 and a Philosophy woman too! ( I just got a new lotion/shower gel set for the trip:cool1:)

Which Philosophy lotion did you get? I'm addicted to the "Amazing Grace" fragrance

Just call the 800 # 800-951-3532 I just bought some OBC...enough for a drink of the day and a specialty coffee at Cove Cafe..one per day plus tip! :thumbsup2 That will take a little of the shell shock from my final bill.

hmmmmmm. maybe I should call back and add the amount I expect to spend at Palo and at least one visit to the Rainforest room too. :scratchin

Thanks! :)
There has been a lot of talk about the Rainforest Room - I'm out of the loop here...what is the Rainforest Room?

Yes, it was a caution to be sure of your footing while jogging on deck. A woman in her 20's on our last cruise slipped and broke her collarbone while jogging on deck so please be double extra careful up there.

:flower3: So I gather that you really do not live in Harambe? How close to Tampa do you live? We are in Lutz; just north of Tampa. :thumbsup2

We live in Sarasota so we're about 45 minutes south. Harambe is more a state of mind ;)

AMEN!!!! DH and I are packing clothes for the gym. Really hoping to get back into my workout routine. I haven't in months between illness and extra hours at work.

You know what's weird? We always find that its easier to work out on a cruise than it is at home b/c we have the time to do it.
