I'm new to the discount/code world and I'm hoping that someone can explain the advantage of doing the Bounceback. We're going in September and it sounds like there might be a Bounceback offer.

1) What exactly is the offer?
2) Is the deposit refundable if you cancel or change dates?
3) Historically, Disney has offered free dining the past five years, right? Isn't this the same as the Bounceback? It seems like the only reason to do the Bounceback would be if you are betting Disney would not offer free dining the next year. Am I wrong?

I guess I'm just wondering the logic behind doing the Bounceback. I suppose I'm hoping to be convinced, but since our dates would be flexible, I'm not sure why we would do Bounceback.

1. You won't know what the offer is until you see it on the flyer - might be a percentage off, might be free dining, might be something different. It might have a lot of potential dates, or not a lot. We've had them that we couldn't use because of the dates.

2. It's just like any Disney package, you can cancel within the normal package cancellation windows, AFAIK.

3. See #1 - it all depends on what the BB offer is, and what discounts Disney decides to offer in the future. You can make guesses, but no way to really predict.

I think people like the bouncebacks because you lock in a discount and don't have to worry about whether Disney will offer another deal when you want to go again or not. And if Disney does offer another and better deal you can cancel your bounceback deal and try to book the new one (or book new one first and then cancel!)

For the past two years, we have been offered FD as our BB. We have gone in September and August during the free dining period. You need to put $200 down on your package. Once we arrived home, I had to switch dates and resort. No problem. Two years ago, there was no flyer in the room, but I had copied the phone number from here before I left on vacation and called on the day of our check out. The CM had said yes, you do qualify for the BB. You must call before you check out and leave for home. Once you are home, it is no longer valid. You may cancel up to 45 days before your trip. Hope this helps!!:goodvibes
