Bounceback Question

I'm planning on booking a bounceback for next year when we go in August. I'm wondering if I can book for, say, 10 days and then shave it down to 7-8 once we firm up travel arrangements? From experience I know adding days to bouncebacks later can be tough due to availability, so I thought this might be a good solution? Or is there a pitfall to this idea I'm unaware of?

This is a very interesting question. I too would like to know how this would work.

Generally, not always. The availability has to be there for the shorter trip, with discount. Sometimes you can book longer stays but not shorter stays.

Do you mean there's less availability to change later?

Your stay will have to be available at that time which gets complicated. I have seen on these boards where it is more than possible. Even probable. But again it has to be available even if you are cutting it down.
