I'm going in September and hoping to get a bounceback offer. I want to go back in January 2013 to the AKL. We want to go on the Wanyama tour which needs to be booked 180 days in advance. To do this, we will have to reserve our room in July, which is before our September trip. If we book our January trip in July, would we be able to apply a bounceback offer to an all ready booked reservation?:confused3

JMO but I wouldn't count on getting a BB with any January 2013 dates on it when you go in September. Just basing this on previous years, but the BB offer in the rooms in September will probably be a Free Dining BB - to be able to book a FD package for next years FD dates (Aug-Sept, 2013).

Not the January dates you want.....:guilty:

But, don't get too upset because last year in August there was a FD offer that came out for January stays. Hopefully they'll do that again! :yay:

Per mousesavers:

For stays 1/8/12-3/31/12 package deal ("free dining") for general public became available on 8/3/11, exp 10/29/11
For stays 1/8/12-3/29/12 package deal ("free dining") for general public (reissued with slightly changed set of dates) became available on 8/24/11, exp 10/29/11
For stays 1/8/12-3/29/12 package deal ("free dining") for general public (extended for early 2012 dates only) became available on 10/27/11, exp 12/17/11

And these Room Only deals:

For stays 1/2/12-2/20/12 room-only discounts (20%-35% off) for Disney's Visa cardholders became available on 9/30/11, exp 12/21/11
For stays 1/2/12-2/20/12 20%-35% off general public room-only rates became available on 10/5/11, exp 12/21/11
For stays 1/2/12-3/8/12 35%-40% off Annual Passholder room-only rates became available on 10/5/11, exp 12/3/11
For stays 1/2/12-3/8/12 30%-35% off Annual Passholder room-only rates became available on 12/4/11, exp 3/8/12

You never know with WDW though, it could be completely different this year. Wishing you lots of pixie dust that you'll get a great deal :wizard:

I agree with Seahunt. Last Sept the bouncebacks were for free dining. As an AP holder I am not interested in free dining so did not bother to book a bouncback when I was down there in early Sept. When I went back late Nov/early Dec the bouncebacks were for room discounts for the next year, so I booked three while I was down there. I'll be back down there May 5th-12th, Sept 1st-8th, and Oct 27th-Nov 4th. I don't expect bouncebacks for 2013 room discounts to be offered when I'm there in May or Sept, but am hoping they might be out during the Oct/Nov trip. Sept is probably going to be free dining again. I go every Sept and the bounceback is usually for free dining for the next year or maybe room discounts for the rest of the current year.

There is also the fact that even if the bounceback was for a room discount your desired dates and resort may or may not be available. Like I said, when I was down there this past Nov/Dec I went down knowing I was going to book three bouncebacks, knew the dates I wanted and had a choice of two resorts in mind for all three trips. I was not able to get exactly what I wanted for any of the three. For my May trip, my dates were available, but I had to switch resorts, for the Sept trip neither my full dates, nor my resorts were available, so I had to move the trip back a week and still only one of my resort choices was available, for the Oct/Nov trip I had to move the dates back a couple of weeks and again only one of the resorts were available. My point is, I was able to get the three bounceback deals I wanted but had to be flexible with my dates and resorts.

I would go ahead and book the AKL for the dates you want. If by chance a room discount bounceback is offered you could always switch to that. Even if the bounceback is for free dining (which I'm afraid it will be for Sept) there are still other discounts that come out for January you could switch to (check into AAA, a general public discount, or maybe an Annual Pass). I know I once had a courtyard view at WL and the AP discount for the room more than paid for the Annual Pass.

I agree with both pp's. We've always gone in Sept and the bounceback is always for the following Aug/Sept.

Does anyone know the current bounceback offer for this year? I will be going in July 2012 and was hoping to book a bounceback offer for October 2012. Is there a place to look to see what dates are available for the bounceback this October? I know sometimes some dates are blocked out. Thanks.::yes::

Here's the current BB that Seahunt posted on another thread :):

It appears half of October is blocked out.

Thank you for the link. I am going at the end of the 1st week of Oct, so the bounceback will be in effect all but my last day there. Better than nothing.
