Bounceback Question

I was curious about the bounceback offers I'd read about here and elsewhere. Do you always get one when visiting Disney? Are the normally the same as the rate you're paying on that trip? And how long are they good for?

I am curious because if we could get a deal during our December trip (which is before the holidays) I'd love to come back next fall (September, October) with my best friend for a girls' trip (with our kids but no hubbies).

There are typically bounceback offers going on at the resorts all the times. However, the promotion changes and you would be entitled to book whatever the promotion is for the time you are there for whatever date the promotion is valid.

We just left and the bounceback in our room was for discounts from now through the end of the year (35 - 45% off room rates, depending on categoary).

When you go in December, if there is a bounceback offer, you can book it for the following September if those dates are part of the promotion.

For example, the past few years, the bounceback offer that was offered during free dining was for free dining trips the following year, during the same time frame.

can you book 2 rooms with 1 bounce back offer - i need 2 rooms 4 adults (2 packages) - so it would $400.00 to book the 2 rooms - would I put both rooms in my name or 1 in my name and 1 in the name of another adult?

There are different bouncebacks offered at different times. Sometimes they're for free dining, as noted above, sometimes they're for room discount with free dining, and sometimes they're room only. I got a room-only bounceback last year, so I didn't lose the benefit of having the AP. But no one can tell which, if any, you'll get.

I've got two bounceback stays booked - one for September and one for December. Both times they asked me if I was looking for a package or room only - so I would assume if I'd been looking for a package, I would have received a discount on the room part, and paid in full for the other components. However, I have an AP so I don't need a package. Lately, the bounceback offers have been as good as the AP discounts, and I have been able to book earlier than waiting for the AP discount. I booked September in January when staying at FW, and December last month when staying at CR. The offers do vary depending on where you're staying, and I was asked for my current resort and room number when making the bounceback reservation. When I stayed at FW, I could get a discount on FW, deluxe and DVC rooms, but at CR, I was only offered deluxe or DVC. I didn't ask if anything else was available, because I wanted to book that level of resort. But I know people at other resorts have had bounce back offers for mods and values, so they're out there.

Yes - Last year when I visited I booked the bounce back rate, which was 45% off the price. It was better than the AP rate I could have booked for the room. And the trip is scheduled for Christmas!

If you are seriously thinking of returning within the year, it may be worth it to look into that option. Just remember to schedule prior to your checkout.
