Bounceback Q's?

We were at the Contemporary for 8 days in April and were hoping for a bounceback offer in our room but didn't get one. My sister got one in her room at POFQ.

In the end it was fine b/c I got a pin code via e-mail for our upcoming October trip. So here are my Q's:

1. If I don't get a bounceback offer in my room, can I ask for one before I check out?

2. Are all bounceback offers the same? i.e. free dining?

3. Are the bounceback dates always for the fall?

We expect to go back early May of next year (will not do another Easter/Spring Break trip) and then a shorter trip in October.

Hi!

In the past few years there has been a notice on the resort TV channel as well as the flyer left in the room. Just watch the channel that comes on when you first turn the TV on. One of the screens usually gives the teaser phrase & an extension to call for more info.

Others have said to ask housekeeping for a flyer & have had luck doing that. It doesn't seem like the front desk always knows about these offers tho.

As for your other questions, bounce backs usually vary during the year. But it seems like if you are staying during free dining, the bounce back is for free dining the next year. I'm going this Sept. & Dec. Will probably book a bounce back in Sept., but I'm going to look for an offer in Dec & stick with whichever 1 is better!

1. Yes. In addition to the methods mentioned above, you can also just call reservations from your room phone and ask. The CM I called to book my bounceback actually used that term, so they know what you're talking about!

2. No. If you go during FD, it's often FD, but not always. Sometimes it has a room discount too. Sometimes it's only a room discount.

3. No. It depends on when you're traveling.

I asked a few questions regarding BB on another thread but didn't get any answers so I'm hoping someone here can help me. I am going to be in the World from Sept 11-19. I am hoping to book FD for 2010 before we check out. I have a friend who wants to join me on my next trip down

1- Can I add her family to my new reservation using the BB? They will, of course, be in their own room. I know this would require 2 deposits.

2- I read somewhere that the offer was for visits up to and including Oct 1. I was planning on staying until Oct 8. Would I get FD for the whole trip or have to pay OOP for part of it?

I hope someone can answer these questions for me so that I can start planning my next trip before I even leave for my first one

I'm not sure you can book 2 rooms with one BB but I do know if the offer was made for YOU...both rooms would have to be in your name to get the bounceback rate...she couldn't use your rate as its offered to current hotel customers while they are there in residence. Not sure if 2 different depostis would be necessary either...sorry

BB deals are different than regular offers...you are just going to have to wait and see....there is no "sure thing" when it comes to free dining...I do know this...so long as the first day of your trip in included as part of the dates you can "stretch the free dining... for example:free dining ends Oct. 3rd...so long as your trip starts by the 3rd you are ok for the rest of the dates past that...good luck! I'm looking forward to hearing about BB for the end of Oct. myself for next year!
