Bounceback Offer Questions

Stayed at POR in Nov but DH wouldn't consider the bounceback offer. 3 questions:

1) what is the usual turn around time for the offers, 6mos, a year?

2) is it always for the same resort that you are staying at?

3) is the discount offered a good one or can you get better with other methods, like AAA, etc.

I don't recall seeing or hearing about a bounce-back offer on previous visits. I have read about it here on the boards! Is it on a card in your room? or do they call you while you are there?

I just got back from the AKL Monday. They ahd a piece of paper shaped like a clock with dates in Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov & Dec they were room only but you could add tickets & dining to it. You had to book when there & put down a deposit since my was now a package it was $200. But be sure they book correct room my didn't <sad> after many calls before I left & telling me everything was fine I got what I wanted but not really, they made a mistake & now they will not fix it as no more rooms at that level which when I book & put down the $200 they said it was there.

There was a card on the table in the room, but since DH was so adamant about not using the offer, I didn't really read it over too thoroughly.
