Bounceback Information and FAQ Thread - 25-35% off BOUNCEBACKS ARE BACK for 2025! Updated 1/31/2025

In over 30 years of WDW trips, I’ve never heard of different inventories for discount rooms until the last few weeks on this thread. It’s never been a thing before. I’m still not sure it is, or if it’s a CM just saying it. Since we can’t check online ourselves, we’ll never know.
If I'm understanding your comment correctly, Disney has had discount 'buckets' for many years.

e.g. A guest may have had a package booked when a new offer comes out - say Free Dining. There is no guarantee that a guest with an existing package can add 'free dining' to that package unless the 'FD bucket' has availability that 100% matches their current package. It has been this way for many, many years.

A guest may be able to book a package of room and tickets for dates A to B but that does not mean there is availability to book a BB for those exact same dates unless there is room in the 'BB bucket' for exactly what they want.

No, not what I’m talking about. I mean different discount availability for a room only reservation vs making that same discounted room into a package by adding tickets &/or dining plan. Free dining package not included in my thoughts as that’s not a room only discount that I’m talking about. I’ve never read of anyone calling, getting a room discount but when they want to make it a package being told…no, there’s no availability if you want a package. Or vice versa. Except now maybe 2 people have been told by CMs that they can only have a particular room BB as a package. That has never been a thing before. So I question if it’s just a few CMs pushing the packages or what.

The poster I was responding to said the BB offer has different inventories for room only & packages. Disney has always allowed you to book a rack rate or discounted room as either room only or a package.

My experience is the same as @focusondisney. The PP had said that a bounceback room discount was available as a package, but not as a room-only reservation. They weren't saying that a room was available rack rate or with a different discount, which is what we regularly see.

I have booked plenty of room-only stays and booked plenty of packages (bouncebacks, general public, Disney Visa). I've never seen a room only discount that applies only to a package booking, but not a room only booking (except, of course, discounts that are not "room only" discounts, but package discounts, such as FD or SPD).

If you book online, you select the discount at the top and you don't decide on a room only or package until you are through the next screen.

I would like to understand if something has changed very recently or if this is another case of CMs incentivized to book packages or not being properly informed.

We will be there in May. Will there be bounce back deals for October 2026 while I’m there?

It’s possible, since deals for 2024 were released in July 2023 and deals for 2025 were released in April 2024. The bigger issue is that deals for October are extremely limited. After bounce backs returned, only 5 days at the end of the month were included in 2024 and 2025. Just keep an eye on the first post here. I keep it updated with the latest offer.

I will definitely keep up the thread!

We are renting DVC points for the trip. Are we still eligible for a bounce back? I’m reading conflicting information.

Has anyone gotten the BB offer for 35% for CL? Where if I may ask and month?Thank you!
I was offered CR Club for next September. Was not interested. No other deluxe resorts were available for my dates (9/2 - 9/13) so I booked PFFQ and hope to modify. I was able to do this for my trip this past September (2024).

Will the dates for 2025 be extended soon? Do they ever have them be for thanksgiving time? We are going this coming Xmas- wasnt sure if there would be an offer in the room and if dates change?

Bookings even at rack rate are only open until the end of October 2025. This is different from in the past & no one has any idea when those dates will be released for booking. So of course, the BB offers won’t be available for those months until regular bookings open. The BB offers & their releases have been different since they returned last year. It’s anyone’s guess if BB offers will include those dates.

And it doesn’t matter if you have an offer in your room. You can call the number in the 1st post during your trip or within 7 days of check out & ask what’s available. You can always book something & change if you prefer different dates later.

We had an interesting experience booking a Bounceback yesterday that I thought I would share:

We are big Port Orleans fans and love to go there the week of Mardi Gras. My wife just came back from Riverside for a Halloween party weekend and we decided to book a trip the first week of March (checking in on Monday and leaving Saturday) in 2025 using a Bounceback. We tried booking PO-FQ but there was no availability. We were able to get a quote at Riverside and booked it. My wife then told me that she would rather arrive on Sunday to take advantage of the free water park day. Before we called to change our reservation, I was just playing around on the WDW website and noticed that there was availability at FQ. I clicked through the special offers and looked at the package from Sunday to Saturday with 3 park tickets. The total of the package at PO-FQ (Garden View) with the new discount for 6 nights was basically the same as the package for 5 nights at PO-R (Woods View). I was flabbergasted and immediately booked the FQ reservation on-line.

Do you think we need to call back and recheck the Bounceback offer? I was really anticipating that the Bounceback would be the best deal that we would get.

It never hurts to check, so definitely give it a try. A poster said she’s a travel agent & that package has been a great deal for her clients. If it’s a better deal for you & you’re OK with the package cancellation rules, no reason not to stick with it.

I posted this as a separate item but I'll add it here, in case I have a better chance at getting a reply:

I have a WDW stay at the end of this month, and was hoping for a good bounceback offer that includes next July. Yikes, we have to go in July 2025 for a significant family birthday. I and another family member already have 2 room reservations for July and I just saw the latest bounceback posted, which includes our travel dates. Hurray! How easy will it be to change our existing July reservations to use the bounceback offer? Our reservations are already connected; can I change it for both? My other family member isn't traveling in October, so she won't have access to the bounceback, but I'm aware I can book 2 rooms using my bounceback offer. Thanks for your help.

ETA I realize we may need to be flexible regarding resort availability, and make some decisions on the fly, to be able to apply a bounceback offer.

The new package offer, it's the first time it has been offered. It gives a discount if you book a package with tickets. Like with all offers, it's smart to check all the offers that are available. I had both a free dining package offer and a bounceback booked for this past July and the bounceback wound up being the better offer for us, traveling with 4 Disney adults to a deluxe resort, but for some, a package may be better. Always price out both!

No one will know the answer to this question because Bounceback offer availability is not available online. Definitely call once you are there or within 7 days. We know that like with all other offers put out by Disney, not all rooms are included. The more flexible you are, the likelier it is that you will find availability with the discount. I will tell you that if you are flexible and your dates are included, they can look for options for you. I've always been able to find an option, as long as I am not looking for something specific. And yes, you can book a room for people traveling with you. Good luck!

p.s. - I have 2 separate dates booked for next spring/summer. One is 2 separate rooms at CBR. I called about booking basic rooms and they only had preferred, so that's what we booked. The second is for my DD's birthday. I called about a CL room. I was able to book GF, which was a great option, albeit still very expensive even with BB. They will look for options for you.

Does anyone know how the bounce back deal works in regards to booking multiple rooms? I have 3 rooms booked at POFQ because I'm traveling with family. 2 parties want to pay for a Garden View, 1 would prefer Standard. Can I change one to standard or do they all have to be exactly the same?

Wait times for phone calls are crazy with hurricane assistance so I'm hoping someone here knows.

You can change if there is availability for that room type included for your dates and it can be the one room only. Not all room types have availability, sometimes certain resorts have no rooms for BB at all. You can call to modify at any time, it does not have to be in the 7 day window if you already have a reservation made.

Just to clarify @Mle8308’s comment because I can’t tell from your post if your 3 rooms are regular or bounceback reservations……you need to have the BB reservations made within the 7 days. If your 3 rooms are regular reservations, you would have to try to change them to BBs within the 7 days. Then you can modify them anytime after that.
