I'm getting ready to leave for WDW in five days (). We're staying at OKW b/c they had a bounceback rate for free dining plus 30 % off room (SSR was the other resort that had this deal). Is there something similar this year?

I'm curious to know too! So it was just those two places? And was it just this time of year as well, or did they have various times to choose from when booking?

I didn't think they would allow you 2 discounts at the same time...hmm....There was no bounceback in our CL Poly room in Aug & someone said that there was but only for dates this December. :confused3

last year (2008) the bounceback rate was free dining from end of august to 10/2. In addition, if you stayed at OKW or SSR, you could get 30% off your room in addition to the free dining which we took advantage of. No other time periods. I'm hoping there is something similar this year. If not, we may hold off on doing bounceback b/c I'm contemplating going at christmas time.

I know it's not the best deal with the deluxes but did anyone get a quote for the Polynesian or Wilderness Lodge?

This year's FD BB (going on now until October 24) does not include the special OKW/SSR discount like last years did :guilty:

Disers Marciemi and Goofy22 both posted copies of their FD BB flyers:

My flyer from my room at Pop - booked the bounceback on Friday:

Remember - if you don't see a flyer, you can still book a FD BB! Just call extension 8844 from your resort room and ask for code KIL.

Same terms as last year - this FD BB is that you can book a year ahead to get free dining next year. This means you will have the best selection of resort availability, because you'll be booking so far in advance before/if FD will be offered again to the public in April. This FD BB is for dates next year 8/15-9/30/2010. You have to book BEFORE you check out, and put down a $200 deposit, balance not due until 45 days prior. You can cancel, modify, revise just like a normal package reservation with normal package reservation penalties (up to 45 days, no penalty, etc.) If you want to book 2 rooms each registered adult on your current res can book a package (with another $200 deposit).

:thumbsup2

The flyer that we had in our room at AKL actually listed rates for AKL or WL and a slightly higher rate for OKW and SSR. I don't have the brochure any longer but I think that might be the special rate that you were looking for, I'm not sure if anyone else on the boards has posted that version of the flyer or not.

Our BB flyer was the one posted at ASMu, same old rack rate with free dining. Not worth jumping the gun and booking unless you want a very specific resort on a specifict date, IMO.

I called on Sept. 22nd while staying on property and all standard view rooms for Contemporary were already booked. I'm not sure how open the availability is, but I was able to book POR.
