Bounce back question

We've never ever looked at the folder for bounceback dates because we tell ourselves we won't be back "next year"....we've been 5 times (6th in October) since 2008
We'll be going this October and would love to book something again for the fall of 2014 - do they typically have dates out that far? And what type of payment is due, just the $200 deposit?

It depends on the offer. If a package with tix and dining is offered it will be a $200 deposit. If it is a room only (save 40% or something similar) it will be the equivalent of one night's rate as a deposit.

Could I book that trip while I am there as a bounce back offer? Or do the same people need to be on each trip? Also, if I am unsure of the exact dates and resort, could I book and then change the dates and resort after? Thanks!!

As long as you book the room in your name you are fine....the same people don't have to go, only the person who books.

Each adult on the room reservation can book a bounce back. The reservation only has to be in your name, it doesn't have to have the same people in the room. And you can change the resort and the dates later, as long as they were included in the original bounce back and if they are still available.

If the bounce back offer this August is the same as last August then you most likely will either have a bounce back for select dates in 2013 or free dining for select dates in August and September of 2014 They didn't release the 2013 room only discount until sometime in December 2012. So that would mean that they might not have the June 2014 discounts in the bounce back yet.

Yes, you can book the BB for you, your mom, DS, and DD . Changes can be made later on as long as the new dates (if you change) are included in the BB offer and the resort/room type you have booked is available under the BB. I would also take the BB flyer home with you just in case the dates change after your stay. One time we booked the BB and I called to change our dates after we had been home for a month or two and the CM told me those dates weren't included in the BB (the dates had changed after our stay for future BB's). I told her I had the BB offer in front of me (which included my new dates) and I offered to fax it to her. She said that wouldn't be necessary, but she did put me on hold and after about 5 minutes came back and said that there was availability for those dates and made the change . So just to be safe, I'd take the BB offer home as you should be able to make changes according to what the offer was during your stay.

So just to be clear, you can book multiple rooms? My sister is going in September and we will likely do a family trip the following summer. Not sure if those dates will be included, but it would be great of she can reserve rooms for her, me and our parents under the BB, if so. Thanks!

Each adult in the room can book a bounceback room. So your sister could book a room, her husband can book a room for the same dates & resort as can any other adult staying with her at the time. If it is just your dis & bil with kids in the room, they will likely only be able to book 2 bounceback offers. Remember there will be a deposit for each room.

Usually in Sept the bounceback is for free dining in late Aug & Sept of the following year. Expect dates to be very limited to those times. July & early Aug will not likely be included.

Edit to add: your sister would list you in her room, her husband would list your husband or parents in his, etc. Then at check in you could rearrange the rooms so each family has the correct room keys & credits.

Got it - thanks focusondisney! If they book two rooms and then end up not being able to go, do we all have to cancel? I would assume so, since no one who booked the bounce back would be present. (Just thinking ahead - she will have a relatively young baby and toddler by next summer and I could see them changing their minds once they re-experience that younger age and decide to put off a Disney trip a bit longer.

We're planning a BIG family vacation in late August 2014 and I'm wondering if a bouceback could help with that, either RO or FD. In October, the bounceback is typically FD for mid to late August through mid to late September of the following year. Hope it works out for you!
