If Disney offered you a bounce back deal (which they never have before ) where would I find it? Is it obvious?

It's always been in the folder of information in our room, along with 8000 other pieces of paper!

You can also ask at the front desk if there are any return offers. :)

There is a lot more information on buncebacks in the Disney Discounts subforum, but please don't just rely on mousekeeping or even the front desk. If I had last year I would not have been able to get the bounceback that started a few days before I left because the previous one had expired during my stay and the new pamphlets had not yet been distributed ot the resorts.

Call ext 8844! This is the reservation line for bounceback offers - ask them for the current one. If they say there isn't one, check the Disboards before you leave to see if there should be one. Then call again until you get someone who knows what is going on. There are a lot of CMs, and sometimes it seems like it takes a while to pass information on to all of them!!!

They are included in the pamphlet of information you are provided when you check in. You have to flip through a few pages to find the BB offer. They used to leave a cardstock flyer in the room, but they now do it with your check in material.

So if I ask when I check in, the cm should be able to show me the offer or at least where I could find it?

Does anyone know the answer to the above question?

As PP stated, your best move is to call 8844 from your room. The CM at x8844 books bounce backs all day and should have the most current info. Don't rely on the front desk to know all things, their primary responsibility is your current stay- not your next trip.

The CM should be able to open the pamphlet to the correct page. If they don't know, ask for a member of management. While there have always been BB's when we've gone (we were there in March and I got a BB for August), my understanding is that they are not always offered. Also, your dates might not be included in the offer. Good luck!

This :thumbsup2. BB's used to be left by mousekeeping, but are now included in the welcome folder you get at check in. If by chance you don't get one, call the above extension from your room and ask. But as this poster and others have said, don't rely on the front desk and/or mousekeeping.

It may only be true at OKW, or other DVC resorts, but when we stayed at OKW last month the BB offer was in the info packet that was already in the villa. It was not in the welcome packet we received at check-in. As others have said, your best bet is to call 8844 and ask what the current offer is.

Agree with this. We were at YC in May. Did not get any info at checkin. When we got to the room, there was a small navy blue folder on the desk. Inside was various sheets with info on the hotel & it's amenities. There was also a "Be Our Guest Guide", a booklet with lots of info on all of WDW. It is maybe 5 x 9 & had Mickey & characters in MK on the cover. In the center of that booklet was a cardboard pull out page which had the bounceback offer on it. Just so you know, the words "bounceback" are NOT used. It says "book before you check out & save". So look for anything that says something like that, don't get hung up on the word "bounceback"!

Also, some years during free dining, they have had the offer listed on the daily WDW info channel on TV. If all else fails, call that ext. 8844 from your room & ask!

My other advice: it can take several minutes to get someone or get your reservation booked, so don't wait til the last morning when you are getting packed up to leave. And remember, you can always cancel but you can't book after you check out. If there's any chance you want to go during the bounceback period, book it while you're there so you won't regret it later.

I would not count on the front desk CM to know for sure. There have been several reports over the years of incorrect bounceback info from them. Before you leave for vacation, you can ask on the discount subforum about current the bounceback offer, so you have an idea of what to expect. Then cal 8844 if you can't find it while you're there. Have a great vacation!

I agree. Calling ext. 8844 from your room phone is the best way to go. Please don't get a resort manager involved. That has nothing to do with their job and they are very busy. I suggest calling the day you arrive to see what the offer is and when it expires. That way you will know if you need to make a decision prior to check out day. Also, be sure to bring along your calendar to see what dates you are free to book a trip. It is always best to book the bounceback even if you are not 100% positive you will be able to keep the trip. They can always be cancelled, but they cannot be booked after you get home, so better to be safe than sorry.

As the PP says, I was just at AoA this week and the BB was in the info folder already in the room -- not in the Welcome Packet. Had to dig through lots of papers but it was in a booklet of information.

Unfortunately my December dates weren't included:guilty:

We also found that sometimes Bounceback offers change in the middle of your stay! A few Summers ago, our check in date was around August 18th and our check out was August 28th. Well, the Bounceback offer for August 18th was still the Room Only offer that expired at the end of the year. They offered the Free Dining Bounceback for the following August right around the time we were checking out. The latter was the one we wanted to book. :goodvibes

I'm not trying to be a smart aleck here but it's not totally 100% technically correct that you have to book your BB offer before you check out. You have up until COB of the day you check out to take advantage of any BB offer that might be offered. I have made the last 2 BB reservations from my computer room. Granted, I live only a few hours from WDW so this may not work for all, but you DO have until approximately 10pm of your check out day to book.
