Bounce Back Offers?

Just returned from Disney World yesterday. Should I be looking for any bounce back offers?

I left yesterday...if it makes you feel any better I called from my room since there was no flyer and was told there is no current bounce back offer (for booking next year).

I had the same problem in August - called and they had free dining, but, nothing off the hotel cost

We got home last night, had no BB flyer in our room at CSR. I called x8844 before we left and booked free dining for Sept '14. Thank goodness I had been keeping up on the Code thread otherwise, I would have missed it.

Really? That stinks! They insisted there was no bounce back offer. Maybe because I was there on a %off room offer....I've seen free dining mentioned but that's not what we were there booked on, so maybe that is the difference? Or is there a current room offer? If so I'm SO disappointed because Im planning to take my dd in January, and then we are all going in the summer.

We had a bounceback in our room at the Grand Floridian for free dining next fall.

Maybe it was because of your dates? The current BB offer is for free dining for arrivals most nights 8/20-9/29/14. Perhaps your arrival date didn't fall in that window? Or maybe the resort that you asked about wasn't participating.

Regardless, you had to call x8844 from your resort room or 407-939-1923 while you were still a registered guest. Unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to book it now.

Asking for booking code HIO also helps.

We were at AoA last week and booked a room only for Feb at a BB rate. It was cheaper than Run Disney rate or GP discount. Something like $420 for 3 nights at a value.- I forget which one we picked. Not AoA though.

The bounce back offer is in a booklet that is in a little folder in the room. The folder has assorted WDW information. The BB offer was for free dining for the end of August and September. We just left AoA today.

My mom got back from a trip to POFQ last night. The BB offer in her room was for free dining for about 6 weeks in August/September. She called to see if there was any other offers for the time same frame next year and was able to book room only (at POFQ) for 30% off. It never hurts to call and ask.

it seems like in the past I never took the bounceback bait because it was the same type deal we could get just booking later in the year when we knew what our plans were really going to be.. am i missing something?

Sometimes they are better. Sometimes not.

The participating resorts, the available dates or the %-off can differ between the offers made for the general public vs. the bouncebacks, You also lock in your savings early with a bounceback. You can always change your dates or resorts later if your plans don't fit into what you've booked. And if a better offer becomes available, you can always cancel the bounceback and re-book your stay.

If you anticipate returning during the bounceback period, it's a good idea to book it. You cannot change your mind and book it later but you can always cancel it with no penalty. ( unless you're inside the cancellation window).

It seems to vary. I'm not 100% sure but I believe the dates offered for the bounce back free dining may vary from the free dining pin codes and the free dining they offer to the public. There's also no guarantee that they will offer a free dining public discount or pin code which is why we decided to go ahead and book the bounce back offer. Our trip dates depend on Dh's work schedule and as long as our dates fit inside the dates for the promotion we are able to modify the reservation without losing the offer.
