Bounce Back Offer Question

We're staying at the GF now and there is a bounce back offer for 35%. I'm not even sure we'd be able to take advantage because I have to see how long it is good for- prob can't come back till July 2015. While it is exciting to have another disney trip to look forward too, it makes me a bit anxious to book so far in advance. Are there any disadvantages to booking a bounce back? Planning on speaking to concierge later, but wanted to hear from the "experts" first!

We always book a bb. I don't think there is any disadvantage to it. We've changed our dates within the bb parameters as well and we've cancelled bb's without a problem when we found that we couldn't go.

As the pp said, there's really no disadvantage to booking a BB. If it turns out you can't go, you can cancel for a full refund (provided you cancel 45 days prior to arrival for packages and 5 days prior to arrival for RO). You can also modify a BB reservation and change dates, resort, etc. as long as the new dates were included in the original BB dates and the new resort is available under the BB discount. If there's the slightest chance any of the BB dates might work, I'd book it just in case.

Unfortunately, the offer is only good till 12/14. I highly doubt we'll be able to return within the next 8 months. Plus, concierge said that I'd lose my deposit if I cancel, or even change, the dates. I hate passing up such an awesome deal

You will not lose your deposit if you cancel or change the dates following the timelines that the pp mentioned.

You were given incorrect information from concierge. As Disneylover99 said, you will not lose your deposit if you cancel within the time frame mentioned above. If there's the slightest chance you might be able to return by 12/14, I'd book it because once you leave Disney, you're no longer eligible for the offer.

This is so true!! There is no risk and you can't get the offer once you leave the resort. I would book it just in case you find out later that you can go. BB offers are too good to pass up, if there is even the smallest chance that you will be able to take advantage of it.

Not true! 100% refundable. We booked a BB in November for this July. I have made numerous changes to the original reservation, including adding a day which required us to rebook with the new promo. It was really easy!

Also, do you know what dates within that timeframe were offered? We're hoping to book another BB this July! Thanks!
