Bounce Back Offer? Is it worth it?

We're planning for WDW and DCL for the end of the year when DH returns from deployment. However, the military discounts are really tempting. I'm thinking of taking DS(4) down to WDW during the early summer for 5 days or so. We'd spend roughly $1000 on a value room, tickets, and food. Plus add in airfare. Are bouncebacks offered on a regular basis? I've seen them only once in our past few visits. We'd still plan to go in December with DH, but we'd stay at a deluxe. I just can't decide if it's worth spending the money to save money as well.
