We are taking a trip mid Jan. and feel lucky to get a discount AAA room rate for then. It seems now that values and mods are now sold out in Jan????
Was there a bounce back from last Jan. for this Jan? I thought it might be because of the Mickey Run going on but that is a week before we go so that can't be why it is so booked? Any thoughts??

We booked at a mod for january 08, but it was months ago. However, we did just upgrade to a deluxe with no problems.... I hope it's not sold out totally.... Yuck.... Crowds.... I thought January was a slow time...

We have a mid-January trip planned and had to do some scrambling to get the resorts/dates we wanted (surrounding our five nights on points at OKW). For families with college-age kids, January is the time to travel -- between semesters!

We also were thinking what you are. Thats why I think it is crazy that 1000,s of rooms are sold out in mid Jan.?????Crazy:crazy2:

I would think yes some schools but alot of schools that have semesters still start in Jan.;)

disney recently sent out codes for discount packages jan thru early march. could this have something to do with it?:confused3

If you are booking around the Martin Luther King Holiday things will be very crowded as a lot of schools have a 4 day weekend. The week before that is the Marathon so that always adds crowds especially in the value and mods. The last week does not look to crowded..... yet

I notice if I put in 'some' of my dates there is lots of availability, but if I put in that marathon weekend, that is when it looks like nothing is available. So I am guessing if you put in a weeks stretch that included the marathon, it will come up unavailable.

I booked months ago with AAA for 1/21 - 1/26 and was not able to get EXACTLY what I wanted. When the Disney Visa codes came out, I WAS able to get what I wanted in the first place. So, I think the AAA availability may be the problem. There are now public codes that give a bigger discount than AAA, and (at least when they came out a few weeks ago) seemed to have more availability. I suggest you give CRO a call to see what they can come up with.
