Hi All, perhaps crazy, I am contemplating taking my 8 year old, 6 year old and 3 year old kids to DLR this summer while my husband and our oldest daughter are in Europe. My youngest two will be too small to either leave alone anywhere and my oldest too young to ride alone on anything, so I am thinking if we do this, we will have to choose only those activities that we can all four do together, simultaneously. I am thinking we would stay at PPH or DLH. Has anyone done this? Is there enough we can do with a solo parent and three little people as to be worthwhile? Any advice you veteran DL family experts could offer would be greatly appreciated!:grouphug:

It's a question that can be used for all parks, but FWIW people will probably tell you to ask on the specific DLR forum. (or the moderator will move this one)

I would think it will be hardest on the 8 year old. It doesn't sound like you've been there before, so it's harder to imagine sending him alone into a ride that only he (of the kids) can ride. And you will not be able to get into line with him because they don't allow under-height people to get into the lines.

Do you have any friends who could go with you?

You may have an issue with ride vehicles - I know at WDW (which is not where you are going, I know) that children have to be a certain age to ride alone, and sometimes that means even in the same ride vehicle. For example, some people have posted here on the DIS that some CMs refused to let two kids ride in front while parent and third child were in the back of a ride vehicle.
