Boulder Ridge Studio or Art of Animation?

Would appreciate any info! It's my family's first trip on property and my kids first time to Disney World. We are my husband and I, with our teen boys, 16 and 13.
I booked both Art of Animation Cars Suite and Boulder Ridge Villa Studio. They are both the same price.
I want to make our first trip so special and we are going the first week of June. We will be with my extended family the week before at a timeshare. So we will have time at the parks before we stay on property.

Interested in knowing transportation issues. Would love and appreciate any advice. Thanks!!

A Cars Suite, the adults will have a wall between them and the kids. A BRV Studio, the kids will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the same room as the adults.

Transport is fairly similar, save that for MK the BRV studio will have a boat option. Otherwise, BRV shares buses with other resorts for all other parks. AOA has dedicated buses.

You will have much more room at AoA. We're two adults and sometimes find the DVC studios to be a little small. Can't imagine adding two teens to it as well.

Have you looked at renting DVC points? Depending on when you visit, you may be able to rent points for a 1BR DVC villa somewhere for a reasonable price.

I agree a BRV Studio Villa will be crowded for 4 adults. It is one Queen bed and 1 Queen sleeper sofa all close together. Also only 1 Bathroom
AoA Suites have a Queen bedded bedroom and private bathroom, and a living area with a convertible table bed - which folks say is comfortable - and a sleeper sofa and a 2nd bathroom. Everyone would have their own sleeping surface.
I think the surroundings at BRV are much nicer than AoA, but I wouldn't enjoy being crammed into a studio for 4 adults.
Good Luck

It depends on what you value - space or hotel amenities. If you want more space, AoA will give you that, but it is a value resort with only a food court and buses to all parks. WL will offer you more restaurant options and a boat to MK, but space will be tight with the kids on pull-outs. Have you priced out a regular room at WL so you have two queens? Personally, I would do a mod over AoA. Or, if you want more space, perhaps a cabin at Ft. W. I found AoA to be incredibly loud and uncomfortable. Not sure the theme would really appeal to teenagers.

Not a queen sleeper sofa, just a double. Plus the bunk sized murphy bed (smaller than a twin sized mattress).

The AOA room would be much better as far as comfort. I stayed in a Cars Suite last year with 2 friends and it was nice to spread out and have 2 bathrooms. I liked the food court.
