I am very upset with Boulangerie Patisserie. To make a long story short, last Thursday (after waiting an hour for them to open) we ordered about $37.00 in food. Totally forgetting about our DDP we paid for this on our credit card (though our main bank), the CM at the counter "screwed up our order" and said she had to re-do everything. We asked if she had credited the first order and she said she did. She even threw out the receipt. :confused:

Well, come to find out that she didn't credit the first charge. We notified our bank when we got home and thought all was taken care of. I looked at our bank account today and both charges were taken out of our account. Now to some people $37.00 is nothing, but my husband and I work very hard for our money and our vacation and every penny counts. Is there an address that I can make a complaint to? I sent yet another corrospondence to my bank but I don't know what will come of that.

As a warning to everyone else, if this happens to you make sure you get both receipts and ask for a Manager.

We love the food there but because of this we are seriously considering bypassing them next year. (I won't forget about our DDP next time that's for sure)
 
hhhmmm....i think i would go back to my bank and work it from that direction. not sure who you would call at wdw. good luck!!
 
I'm still angry with them for not making the Coconut Pyramids anymore. As of our last trip in December, the Pyramids were still on the menu on the wall, but when asked about them, I was informed that the chef didn't like making them. Huh? Tough! If it's still on the menu, they should be available whether the chef likes making them or not. There are a lot of things about my job I don't like but I can just imagine using that excuse with our clients. :rotfl:
 
the bank would have to do an investigation into their fraud department ( if they have one..)

i work for a large bank corp. and we do have a fraud department. they would have to investigate to see. if they just credited the money back to the account any joe schmoo could make up a story and say that whatever store made a mistake in charging their card and the bank should give them their money back.

i hope you get your money back though! i would be upset too! thats a full tank of gas for a week! :rotfl:
 

They also don't allow any of their yummy snacks as credits on the DDP. Because of that, I now go to Norway, where they honor it. And they've got plenty of yummy snacks too.

Me too! I was really miffed when I ordered some things there and found out they were not on the DDP. The reason I was miffed was because I had asked the first guy ( I was pretty sure I had read on the dis that this place did not offer DDP credits for food items), he said yes but the cashier then said no. This after we had waited in line. So we paid OOP. I am not surprised this happened to the OP, that was the most disorganized place with the rudest people I encountered in all of my WDW trips. Very delicious snack, but Norway offers just as wonderful baked items.
 
Of course $37 is a lot of money! I would be upset, too. I think it was just an honest (but dumb) mistake. Sorry that happened to you and I hope you get it straightened out.
 
I agree about the degree of rudeness, I guess they think that they can get away with it because they're French and the cliché is that they are notoriously rude! :rotfl:

Oh miss the pyramid as well...but that Napoleon will guarantee my visits for may years to come
 
Could you call the restaurant and speak with the manager?? I am sure they have record of it somewhere. Good Luck that is alot of money.
 
I would call the bank and ask them to do a "charge back" as they refer to it, explain the whole situation to them, I would also call Disney as well as email them, someone will get to the bottom of this.
 
Oh, and this is why I charge everything to the room, I can check it before I leave, heck I could even check it that night when I got back to the hotel by going to the front desk, and explaining it all, please note that you should INSIST on keeping all of the receipts including the one that shows it was credited back, makes proving it a whole lot easier.
