Bought tickets.....want passports :]

Hi All,
This is my eighth trip, so i really should know these things myself.......but have never owned a passport before, and as we are definitely going again within 12 months it really makes sense this year :]

Only problem is I have already purchased our park tickets as part of our package!!!!! At first i thought I would present them at the passport office as i believe you can get a small discount on the price of the passport.......but now we are looking to add more people to our two rooms, could we give our park tickets to our friends and buy passports when we get there?????

Also should we buy them before we go, or wait till we get there?

If the tickets are part of a package then there will be no discount as they are included. You could buy AP when you get there but there are several deals to buy in advance. There are a few threads about them. I would link them but can't on my phone. If someone else hasn't done it soon, I will do it futon my computer

Thanks tennisfan. two years ago when we stayed at the DLH we added a person at the last minute to our booking and only had a to pay a local tax as they had a passport.....I thought this might be an option for adding two others to our booking....we could give them our tickets and we could buy passports??? What do you think?

Thanks markpsych for that link...its looking good . And carrie we arrive 12th September . I am now going to sound like such a cheap skate but the two extras I want to add are my sister and my cousin....its a kinda thank you for help with my Mam and my daughter's wedding and i have promised them a free trip [so obviously the more i can cut down on costs the better ] So Carrie, it would be only two adults, as I am hoping to use the tickets i have purchased for my sister and cousin and then the other extra adult now coming i will just have to add them as part of the package [fingers crossed for a flash sale ]

PS You know the funny thing about when we added an extra person with a passport before, it was literally a couple of euros they charged us???? I'm sure breakfast would even cost more than that? Does it vary from hotel to hotel? Or is it always that cheap?

Unfortunately they now charge for breakfast at the DCR though, so we no longer have that bonus

Yes, we haven't done that for years.

The package deal is generally cheaper now, and the ticket means that the whole family don't need an AP, or a friend can use it as you're doing
