Do we just go through the regular turnstyles? I thought they took a photo and issued a card with your picture on it. Also, do you need to keep bringing your regular photo ID(Driver's license, etc.) every time you visit the parks after you have your AP with your picture on it? Thanks for the info.

hi, i'm not sure if you purchased the two park preferred annual pass or the power pass, but since I have the two park preferred annual pass I can only speak for that one. no you don't have to keep on showing your regular driver's license id once u have taken your pic for your annual pass. You just have to show ur annual pass that would already have your pic on it at the turnstile. Hope this helps.:goodvibes

There is no picture on the preferred annual pass anymore. It is a piece of thick paper just like the tickets. You don't have to show your picture or any ID because your biometric finger scan is linked to your pass after your first entry. Pick up your pass at Guest Services and then you use your pass just like a regular ticket.

We have the two park preferred annual passes. Where do we have our picture taken, at the regular turnstyles? Or do we have to go to a special area for the photos? Thanks for your help!

When did it change? b/c we were there in March this year and we didn't scan our fingers at all what we did was show are annual passes that has the pic on it and they scanned the barcode on it and we went right through, we didn't have to scan our finger. I would like to know this info. b/c if this is the case then I'll go and change my pass b/c the pic that's on there is really old and I was real young and the people on the turnstile have to take a double almost triple look at the pic and at me b/c sometimes they think its not me.:goodvibes I don't know if this makes a difference but we've been doing the flex pay option for these passes for the past 4 yrs so we haven't had to renew ours or anything it just continues for the same price every year.:)

When we took the pics for our annual passes we went ahead and took them at the universal studios park. It was right when you walk into the park to your right handside at guest services, but its not the guest services outside the park its the one inside to your right hand side after you walk into the park.:goodvibes

We purchased our preferred passes in February and then again in April and there are no longer any pictures. I purchased them online at the Universal site and they had to be picked up at Willcall which is outside of the parks before you pass through the turnstiles. At IOA it is on the right.

Thats probably why ours has a pic b/c we purchased them 4 yrs ago and back then you did have to take a pic and so far when we go they haven't asked us to change it or anything like that, but anyways since i got married recently and I have to change my last name on it when I go in October then they'll probably give me the new ones that don't have the pics on them. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.:goodvibes

they changed out the AP's in the second half of last year. we were told as long as you held onto your AP's with the pics, they would just keep renewing them, not issue new ones. I lost my wallet with our AP's, and we all had to get the new ones. I'm assuming that since you had a name change, you'll have to get the new AP to match your DL if they ask you for ID.

Thanks for all the info guys..I am feeling a little disloyal to WDW, I am a lifetime lover of that, but can't wait to try out US/IOA on my DS7 and DS9..and now I have at least two year's worth of excuses to hop on over there whenever we can...

I hope you also know that since you live in Georgia, you are entitled to Florida residents rates at the Universal hotels!!!
