Bought a picture today

Been shopping today & came back with a picture of Mickey Mouse & wondered if anyone could help with identifing it.

It's approx 9 by 12 inches & has been framed in the UK.

It has one figure on which looks like it 's been drawn but I'm not sure,

It' mickey as a sorcerer in red & black.

The signature is Lindy & next to it is an embossed Disney

In left hand corner is a small coloured printed detail which says
"On with the show" & under that is Disney MGM studios

Anyone seen anything like it before?

Oh & I paid £2.25 in a charity shop

It sounds really nice and you got if for a great price. I know of a Disney-specialist art gallery here in England who provide free valuations on art pieces. They specialise exclusively in Disney art so they know their stuff. I bet that if you sent them a description they would be able to advise you on its value/history. Sounds to me as though it could be one of the sketches done by animators at various Art of Disney locations around WDW. You choose your basic drawing from a selection and then the animator will either add personalisation to a previously sketched item, or start from scratch (if you/he have time or you're willing to call back). We've got one of Mickey which we had done at MK in 2001.

If it is, I don't think it will make you your fortune, but it's nice to have, nonetheless.

I've also remembered that they used to sell (and maybe still do) special edition sketches for limited periods in the Animation Gallery at MGM (a new one each month?). Again, if you timed it right, you could have one sketched by an animator whilst you watched.

I didn't expect it to be worth anything just interested in its origins.
