We've bought a new camera this weekend. It's a Fuji Finepix S6500fd. Been having a play with it this weekend and have been quite pleased with the results so far.:thumbsup2 The last digital we had was an Olympus mju compact and we haven't been that impressed with it so this is the next step up for us. I'm hoping this will take some great firework shots. :goodvibes Now I'm ready to go in July. Tickets, where are you? WDW, here we come! (In 34 days:rotfl: )

Well done, will look forward to seeing the results.

Will do. Would appreciate any information + advice if anyone has this particular model or similar. There's a lot more functions to this one and it's giving me a headache :headache: as well as being confusing :confused3 but I'm sure I'll figure it out once I've played with it some more.

Don't know the camera personally, but if you've got any questions, post them. Might not be a camera specific thing - you never know.

I bought the S5600 a few weeks ago. Not sure how different it is to the S6500.

Been really impressed with mine so far. The 10x zoom is amazing (the main reason I bought it) and the settings allow you as much manual control as you want.

Im far from being a pro, but if you have any questions I cant answer, I will be able to find somewhere that can for you :)

Well done on your new camera - looking forward to seeing some great shots :thumbsup2

Just had a quick look at the camera, and it is very similar to one we used to have - the Finepix 6900.

I was always very happy with the results we got from it - happy snapping!
