we are staying at CSR and I am wondering if someone can tell me how much does a bottle of water cost? Also, at the store do they sell 6 or 12 packs of water? I am not sure if the refilling bottles with water out of the faucets is a good idea. My husband is a transplant recepient, so he needs to be careful of drinking faucet water. Also, what about at the parks how much is bottled water? I am thinking of sending down some bottled water, but wonder what the costs difference will be. Thanks.

I know at the parks, the bottled water is $2.00-$2.50. Probably the same at the resorts. Expensive when you can get a case of 24 for $5.00 or less. We always rent a car for a grocery run because we have a full kitchen at our DVC resort, but if we drive I always bring a case with us.
Please note that if you are at any of the parks, you can ask for a FREE cup of ice water at any of the counter service restaurants and any kiosk that has a soda fountain. They give you the cold water from the soda fountain, so it doesn't have an awful taste like the fountains. We always take a water bottle with us, and when it's empty we get a free glass and pour it into the water bottle to carry it around.
We ask for free water with our lunches too if we're at counter service, so we don't have to pay for a pop.
Have a great trip!;)

As a fromer transplant coordinator. We never advise our pts to drink the tap water.Water at the parks is expensive though.I would ship it to my resort ahead of time.:goodvibes

I had costco ship a case of bottled water to the Beach Club when we stayed there this January. It was shipped for free. I had it addressed to "Guest Name: - Arrival Date: ". We checked in when our room was not ready. When we returned to our room, the water case was there with our DME luggage.

We were on the dinning plan, and it was really cold so we did not drink nearly as much as we used to. We just left the bottles in the room when we checked out.

If you join Staples Rewards and then order from Staples the delivery is free. I've done this many times and it saves a bundle. You can get the 24 case for $6.99 and no cost for delivery! HTH;)

FYI:

The water at the soda stations is filtered water.
Also if you ask for a cup of water at a counter service or sit down you will recieve the filtered water.

Have fun at Disney!:wizard:

what are soda stations? Are they free? Can I take an empty bottle and fill it with water from a soda station?

Yes and no. The soda stations are meant to be used with the refillable mugs you purchase, for $12. But you are only supposed to fill the mugs. You can then transfer it into a bottle if you'd like.

Note: This is at your resort, not the parks. Also, if you have a mug and bring it with you to the station, no one will stop you from filling a water bottle instead of the mug.

I don't think staples has free delivery any more. They changed their reward program a while ago.

I did use staples even after having to pay for delivery it was much cheaper than $2/bottle.

I have also used www.gardengrocer.com and had water along with sunscreen, fruit and other snacks delivered. They have a $40 minimum and a $12 delivery fee.

To the OP - too bad we won't be there at the same time. I would have brought you a case of bottled water for free. We drive and have extra room. We are organ donors so anything we can do to help now, we'll do.

Last September we ordered three cases of bottled water from Costco at something like $7.00 per case (24 bottles/case), free shipping, and had them shipped to our resort (timed the order so that the water got there a day before we did), and the resort brought them to the room after we checked in. Couldn't have been happier. And at that price you can even use bottled water to make coffee in your room. And a Costco membership was not required.

we saw this pure water 2go which is a filter for tap water that goes on a water bottle, and may get some for our april trip, Read about this on mousesavers,,,

However the Costco option sounds good too may look in to that..

You can refill your water bottles at the baby centers at all of the parks with fresh bottled water taps. (those upside down jugs of water - i don't know what they are called)
We do it all the time.

I'm just going to rent a car, explore for a while and pick up a case or 2 while I'm out.....

There's a Wal-Mart or Target nearby, right??
