Bottled water/soft drink Question

What is Disney's policy on what can and can not be brought into the park as far as drinks/food is concerned?

I'm not sure what the "official" policy is, but I know they are very lax about enforcing it. Many people bring in food and drinks. I have brought in cans of soda (and even a beer!) and bags of chips and they always looks the other way.

I think if you brought in a big cooler, they might care, but otherwise, they're pretty lenient.

The only people who check are supposed to be checking for guns and bombs and not food! (I think?)

I usually take snacks and juice boxes and bottled H20 into the park with no problems.

We always take flavored water, water, or gatoraid and never have a problem taking them in. This year I am getting some of the individual kool-aid packs that you put in bottled water for something different.

Can I bring food into Disneyland® park or Disney's California Adventure® park?
With the exception of food items for Guests with specific dietary restrictions, food or beverage items are not permitted into either of the Disneyland® Resort Theme Parks.

However, they have never stopped anyone for bringing in bottle water, and generally don't stop you for bringing in other drinks or snacks. If they see full picnic lunches (especially in coolers) they will direct you to the lockers located near the picnic tables. On the trams the do state, to use the picninc tables for outside food.

Even though they state you can not bring in food, they have paper cups at the GC entrance to DCA for people to transfer there drinks from glass bottles. They will not allow you to bring in glass containers.

Sounds like you are pretty much taking a chance with anything other than water. Good to know.
