bottled water/refillable mug/what to drink?

Hi there!

I'm doing a Land and Sea Cruise (Land portion at the Poly first) and fitting in two extra nights either at Caribbean Beach or Pop Century after ther cruise portion. Now, we will be spending most of our time at the parks, dining out everyday, so I am debating getting refillable mugs or not. I decided I will buy them at the Poly, but I'm not sure I want to buy two sets of them, esp when I'm at CBR/Pop for only 2 nights. Since I'm flying down and all, I can't bring bottled water with me, I can't take bottled water off the ship, I'm wondering maybe I could buy bottled water/iced tea, etc. at one of the shops at CBR or Pop instead of getting another set of mugs. Or maybe just getting large drinks in paper cups- let's say I purchase 5 cups of soda/tea over the 2 1/2 days, would that be more than the cost of a mug?

I could just buy the mugs, but coming home with 4 plastic mugs that cost me close to 60 bucks isn't sitting well. Well, anyway, tell me what YOU would do?
Would you buy all 4 mugs, buy regular drinks, check out the shops, or just go to the bar and forget all about these nonalcoholic drinks in the first place! (j/k there!)

No mugs, take water...Ship it down or pick up at Goodings or buy your preferred drinks individually...

We don't buy mugs anymore. I just don't think they are worth it. At Poly because you can refill 24 hours a day they are a little more worth. Are you able to stop at all along the way and buy bottled water or soda? I wish Disney had a plan like Universal, though its not available at the hotels. Buy a souvenir bottle (can't call it a mug because its tall with a wide plastic strawand holds 32 oz as opposed to 16oz for Disney's mugs) for $5.99 and you get to refill in parks for $1.39 (15% cheaper if you have an AP). At the gift shop you should be able to buy 2 liter bottles of coke for about $3. At the Hess gas station outside MK we bought 2 12-packs of coke for $6. but you would need a car.

For the $13 or so you will spend on each mug, you could buy 6 bottles of water in the parks. I would buy bottled water someplace. You could have a case shipped to you at your last resort, or just buy them in the resort shop which will be more expensive. I wouldn't buy 2 sets of mugs in any case. Maybe just one set at the Polynesian, but not two sets.

We do buy the mugs but really for only one reason... I lve drinking my morning coffee in them while at home. I still feel a piece of the magic w/ me. I wouldn't worry about buying them if you really don't want them. I would just buy your drinks seperately. I don't think you'd spend $60 on drinks for 2 days if you do this.

Don't buy mugs.

I am UPSing my bottled water and diapers etc down to hotel before we leave. That way I will not suffer Mickey shock form the price down there.
