Does anyone know how much a bottled water is at WDW and for what size?

I know I can take a town car and get a 30 min grocery shopping on the way there. However, town car is just too pricey for two people compared to Mears Shuttle. Towncar will cost me $95 (including tips) where as Mears is only $54 for two. The $41 difference can allow me to do more things at WDW.....

Thanks for your help in advance.

I was just in Disney over Easter break and the bottles of water in the park were 2.50, not sure of the ounces maybe 20:confused: some counter serve restaurants had smaller bottles for 2.00 again not sure of the ounces maybe 16--hope this helps :)

I think bottled water at WDW is only 8 oz.s. But the other thing is that fl. water tastes bad and smells like sulfer, and makes some sick.

Super Walmart sells Aquafina bottled water which is not bottled in FL.!!

The difference between a towncar and mears is you have to shelp your Luggage to a Mears Bus.
A Towncar driver meets you at the luggage pick up place, will take your luggage to the car, waiting at the curb, you get a 30 min grocery stop,a great ride to your hotel with no extra stops, help with your luggage into you hotel. PLUS there are coupons that reduce the price of towncar services.

But if you need to go on a budget and can handle you own luggage, for $2.00 you can get the Orlando city Lynx bus at the airpot to WDW!! this is the map that shows the airport, top left, blue plane.

For Lynx info go to the Transportion Board.

Last trip we used the Brita sport-water bottles with filters - they were a big $ saver for us because we drink a lot of water! We could fill them up with cold water at the drinking fountains (so we could carry them empty until we were thirsty) - we all thought the water tasted fine through them (even the bottled water at the parks usually tastes funny to me). Our target carries them for about 5 or 6 $.

Just got back from WDW. The water was $2.33 for 16 oz. at some of the parks and the bigger bottles were for $2.50.

The 24oz. bottles of Zepherhills is $2.50. The same water is only $7.89/case (28 24oz. bottles) at Sam's Club!! Talk about saving some money!! We did this last year...gave 2 CASES away and still saved a ton of $$. I'm sure you could do a grocery stop there...worth exploring!

We have never had a problem with the water at Disney. It tastes fine to us, maybe we just don't know what good water tastes like. LOL We get ice water for FREE at the counter serve restaurants when we are thirsty. If it is real hot, we carry a frozen water bottle in an insulated carrier.

Jeank74 - what about just using the towncar for your arrival, then saving a few bucks and using Mears on the return? That way you can make the grocery stop and not spend so much extra.

I cannot stand the taste of FL water. On our honeymoon 7 1/2 years ago DH and I took a taxi to the nearest supermarket b/c we were desperate for good drinking water. We also stocked up on other drinks and snacks. We had taken Mears, we didn't know about towncar services. This past trip we had a limo ride in and it was well worth the expense to have door to door service, just US in the car, driver handling the luggage much more relaxing than Mears. With a grocery stop and picking up a gallon of water for each day was awesome. The limo also set the tone to a very nice trip and was also an awsome way to end it.

I've read posts where people have packed their bottled water from home (in plastic bags just in case) and havent had any problems with them leaking. I can understand not wanting to use the town car just to save money on water , so packing your own might be your best bet.

we went to walmart and bought bottled water and the plastic water bottles with the insulated cover and a strap, we froze the bottled water in the plastic bottles overnight and put them in the insulated cover in the morning and we had nice ice water all day long.
remember to leave a little room at the top of the container for expansion.

I really lucked out this year and found a great deal at home. We're driving this time, so I'm taking along extra snacks and things since we'll have the room. Our local Krogers had a sale, buy one get one free 6packs of bottled water, at $1.99 a pack (16oz bottles). So for less than the price of one at WDW, I got 12! :)

bjakmom,

I keep seeing people say that they can buy those Brita sport bottles at Target. Where??? What department do they carry them in? I have looked several times, near the big Britas, and I have never seen them. Thanks.

Michelle

Michelle - that's exactly where they have them at our Target - right with the big Britas. I have also seen them at some of our local food stores, Acme is one. I would also look and ask at Walmart or Kmart - seems like the kind of product they might carry. You could ask the department manager at your Target - they are very helpful in helping me find things at ours!
