Both parks in one day?

We have not been to US or IOA before, really not interested because children were not tall enough to ride most of the rides there so always stuck to Disney. This year they are 7 (boy) and 9 (girl) and we are considering going on this vacation (beginning of April). Problem is, with Disney parks too and visiting family, we would only have one day to do both parks. Is this feasible? Long days don't bother us, we usually get to MK at opening and leave after fireworks. If I am paying to go I feel like I need to get my money's worth! Any response would be great.

I have no information for you, but wanted to tell you I'll be watching the responses. I have the same question. We'll be spending one night at Universal in September and I wonder how much park we can see in 1 1/2 days. I love planning vacations in Florida when it's snowing outside.

Buy the one day/one park ticket online (it's cheaper). Then see if you have enough time to do both parks once you are there. If you find you have some more time at the end of the day then just go to Guest Services and upgrade to the 2nd park for $10 plus tax.

if you're staying onsite, you'll be able to see much more by taking advantage of the FOTL. offsite, I'd pick one park and take phamton's advice. ideally, UO is a 3 day experience.

ditto for what the other two have said and,

you can get more done in september for the 1.5 days you will be at the parks than the one day in april.........think spring break

I try not to think of Spring Break. I know these parks are made for kids, but we like them better when there are less kids.

Three years ago we tried with 3 kids to do both parks in one day........phew we missed so much! Got to do some rides, but felt like we were running at the middle of the day to try and see it all. This time spending 5 days onsite after 5 days onsite WDW to see it all. Good luck! Oh yes also, we did the two park tickets and upgraded to express, the cost was not worth it for one day since we missed so much. Had a ball but felt it is well worth it this time to stay onsite and really experience it.

We go to both parks every year and usually spend one day in each park as there is loads to do! But in IOA there are quite a few big rides (like the hulk coaster) which your kids may not go on which would make more time as they often have the longest queues! I think it can be done in 1 day but you may not get on all the rides or see any shows.
