Just been backing up some of my digital photos on my new DVD RW drive and I found these photos from Boscastle I took a few years ago. It was a lovely little village - hope it can recover from the disastor.

Nice pictures Tim. There is a massive clean up operation underway - we asked for volunteers at work for people to go down and dish out food packages etc - and within 4 minutes 60 people had volunteered!

Just got back last week from Cornwall,Went to Bude,Tintagel and Bude a few days before thois happened
It really is a beautiful part of the world.....

What lovely photos Tim! We have also visited this beautiful spot and just wonder what they will do to try to prevent something like this happening again.

Karen, it was terrific to see the community spirit at work with everyone helping in the clean up operation, and good to hear the whole county is getting involved to help out.

I hope that they recover quickly - I love that part of the country, it's all soooooo beautiful down there, and I've visited Boscastle a couple of times too, it's so sad to see the 'after' pictures where the land just looks like it's been torn apart
