Could folks please relay their experiences using either of these services listed below? I have made a reservation with PreFlight Boston, and they surely seem to be the best priced (with a 25% online coupon), but if folks have had bad experiences with them and good experiences with the other, I'd be very interested in the particulars. Thanks!

Just a suggestion, but my neighbors rent a car from BDL and drop off at BOS. They said that it is considerably cheaper than parking for even a week and you don't have to worry about your car. Consider a Priceline pick up the day before.

You need to take out a second mortgage when parking at Logan airport. I'd do either a shuttle service to Logan or what Dawn said, rent a car and turn it in at Logan.

Shuttle services (such as Logan Express) are simply too inconvenient for our tastes, even though we are only 5 miles from Anderson RTC.

Renting a car is also seems like a major hassle, having to coordinate getting the rental car delivered to our house, going through rental car return, etc., and then returning the rental car we rent at the airport to get home.... how does that work out for folks?

We've used park, shuttle and fly multiple times over several years and have been very pleased with them. Our cars have been safe, they've been fairly efficient.
I know you said you don't want to do a shuttle, but my brother who lives in Burlington uses a shuttle out of Woburn when he and his family fly out of Logan.

I'm warming up a bit to the idea of renting a car. We can pick it up (drop it off on the way home) at a hotel about 3 miles from home. Coordinating with the hours they're open might be an issue, though. It would save a boatload of money -- $40 max each way plus tolls and top-off instead of either $110 minimum for off-site long-term parking or $190 minimum for Central Parking/car service.

No experience at Logan, but I've used PreFlight in Atlanta lots of times.

The best thing for me is the shuttle meets you at your car so you're not schlepping luggage across a parking lot. Same thing when you return, shuttle driver unloads your luggage right next to your car.

FWIW...

We used PreFlight last month at Logan. Used it at TF Green as well. We parked the car on Aug 5, picked it up on Aug 16...cost was $153, with the coupon. My dh dropped dd and I off at the airport, with the bigger bags. We checked them and went to the gate. He drove to the parking lot, a ways away, took the very convenient shuttle back to the terminal, with his carryon bag, plus one checked bag. Met us at the gate.
For the return, we took the shuttle to the parking lot..it was pretty easy to locate (the shuttle, not the lot), and about 20 mins after getting our bags we were in the car, headed home.
Even easier/faster at TF Green. Dh actually said he would use PreFlight again, and he's a total control freak!!! So much cheaper than central parking.
And, the shuttle bus picks you up, and drops you off, right at your car!!! Very nice service. (just be sure you dress appropriately for it!!! kidding!!)

I've used them several times and they're fine, just a good distance from the airport. Last time I parked at Logan itself it was a real hassle due to construction in the area. We now fly out of PVD most of the time, much more convenient and cheaper for us.

If you decide to park, I've used PreFlight many times and *really* like their service. However, it will add some time to your trip, so be sure to plan for it. And, at least the first time you use them, it's a bit unnernving trying to find them. In reality, they are only a short drive from Logan. But as you follow their directions, you'll keep asking yourself if you are going the right way.

Have your DW drive you to the rental agency the day before to pick up the car. Keep it over night, drop it off and have another rental waiting for you when you arrive home. I rented cars from Priceline for $15 per day. Cheap!

We are 3 hrs away from Logan and we drive down the night before, and stay at the Sheraton and do a park, sleep and fly....very easy, the shuttles go all day, and the price ends up being the same as a park and ride. (plus we get to start the vacation a day earlier!!)
