borrowing then banking

Here's the scenario. I reserved a 2B and needed to borrow 5 points to do it. Now I need to change the ressie and it comes out to be 19 points less. Since I cannot unborrow those 5 points, will I be able to still use the 5 borrowed points and then bank the 19 remaining points until next year?

Yes, just make sure to tell MS that's what you intend to do, once canceling the 2 bedroom reservation.

That is correct, as long as you are still within the banking windows.
