Borrowing restriction removed

Also, I'd like to hear from people that had trouble borrowing points on the website, if this fixes that crashing issue.

I had trouble, but I don't need to do any borrowing currently; so hopefully reports of borrowing glitches will be reduced.

YAHHHHH!!! I received the email this morning and literally, logged into the DVC site and added 2 additional nights for my GF stay in February 2023 for princess marathon weekend. I had no issues adding the two nights and I was able to borrow. Super excited and a nice way to start my Tuesday morning!

For those who are more experienced / deft at understanding why these kinds of decisions are made, can anyone attempt to interpret why Disney would finally adjust this policy back to where it was? I'm not complaining but some perspectives on what this actually means is helpful.

They only enacted the policy because they were concerned about the system getting flooded with too many points because of all the COVID cancellations. I guess they feel that has worked itself out now.

The running thought is Disney put it in place due to a glut of points due to closures and less travel early in the pandemic. If the points have started to level off a bit, and perhaps people have been complaining enough, it was time to remove the restriction. The think it's been expected the restriction would be lifted at some point - it was a matter of when.

The odd thing to me is my memory was they put the restriction in early when people were not traveling and in my mind it may have caused bigger problems then it solved during those initial months. I’m glad it’s removed but I tend to be banker more then borrower so never really impacted me directly.
