If I borrow to take two vacations, are the borrowed points used first or last?

Example: I have 200 points and an August use year. I make a reservation for December requiring 189 points. No problem. I then make a reservation for November requiring 55 points, so I end up borrowing 44 points. OK... I use the November vacation but then cancel the December vacation (31+ days in advance). Are any of the 145 points I have remaining considered borrowed (can't be banked), or would I be able to bank the full 145 by the end of January???

The borrowed points are specific for the reservation. Once that reservation was completed, the points needed (borrowed or otherwise) have already been used.

In your example, the 44 borrowed points will have been used on the first day of the November reservation. The points allocated for the December stay are treated separately to be used or banked- subject to normal rules and deadlines.

Enjoy!

You might be able to substitute the points by telling DVC to do so but they will not automatically use the banked points first. If you have banked or borrowed points plus current use year points, they will ALMOST always use the banked or borrowed points first but not 100%. You should always keep track and tell them which points to use. It is your responsibility and they will not tell you or contact you to make any changes that might prevent your losing points.
