Borrowing Points ?

I’ve been a member for many years, but have never borrowed points before and i’m confusing myself the more I try and map it out, I have an October use year and 400 points (all same resort). Currently, I have an October 2024 trip booked and have no points left for 2024 use year. Next trip would be May 2025 and I need to borrow from 2025 (say 300 points) which leaves me with 100 in 2025 points. October 2025 comes and I book a trip and need 300 points - that reservation will take 100 2025 points and I would borrow 200 2026 points. The next trip in May 2026 is where I think i’m going to have a problem as I won’t have enough points to borrow. Is my thinking correct? I’m trying to make sure I can go twice a year by borrowing unless addonitis hits… which I am feeling kinda feverish

Your math sounds correct to me.

You have it correct. Everything goest by the UY of the trip and for you are booking two trips in the same UYs, which is why you will end up short for the May 2026 trip.

That has crossed my mind…once…twice… 6000 times…lol. I’m on the struggle bus with that too because I really love BWV, but the uncertainty of the 2042 end date keeps me from taking the leap. May just fold and buy more AKV to keep everything together.
