Borrowing Points

If we book a reservation and borrow points to do so but change it slightly (dropping one night or something like that) do the borrowed points “stay borrowed” and then return to the current use year or will they go back to their original UY. I’m assuming they would also be unbankable if they were moved to current UY. Also, on odd numbers of points, do they round up or down. Example, 75 point contracts, can 37 or 38 be borrowed? I’m guess MS would be fine with 38 but would like to avoid a 2-hour hold time on the phone if possible. Thanks!

Borrowed points will stay in the UY that they were borrowed into (aside from the Covid policy which ends next month).

Round up for the 50% cap. When you go to choose the contract for where the points come from it shows how many are available to borrow.

Thanks, haven’t borrowed points previously, before or under new policy. What if we borrow points and then add a day later, can we borrow again if we are still under the 50% cap?

Yes, you can borrow as many times as you like as long as you are within the limit.

You can only borrow when making a reservation and only as many as needed to finish the trip.

But, you can do that for as many trips as needed as long as you don’t exceed the 50% amount!
