Can someone help me with this scenario: I have an October use year. Let's say that I am taking an August trip in 2003 that requires me to borrow all of my October 2003-September 2004 points. Then I want to go in December 2003. That would require borrowing from my October 2004 use year. Do I have to wait until October 2003 to borrow from October 2004? I would like to call in January 2003 and book both trips. But I am not sure they allow this. But I don't want to wait until October 2003 to book for December 2003. Hope this isn't too confusing. And yeah - I know, buy more points - lol. Thanks for any help.

I would think that you should be able to do it. The reason is that when Oct 2003 comes you would have paid off the Aug 2003 trip opening up the second transaction. Having said all this I did not check my member rule book to see if you can borrow from 2 years in advance which to me in this case seems ok. I would read my member rules before calling on this. What makes me think this is fine is that it all falls in the 11 month period or less which should be ok.

Yes this would be fine.

Because the trip for Dec 2003 would be in the oct2003-Sept2004 use year so the points you would be borrow would only have to move up a year. It does not matter (for points) WHEN YOU MAKE the ressie but WHEN THE TRIP IS. so although when you call the 2003-1004 UY is two UY away, you are using them for a trip in next Use Year.

Hope that clears it up :teeth:

You should call now for the August of 2003 trip if you are sure you are going. If you wait until January you could be within the 7 month booking window and you may not get your first choice of resorts.

Then call again in January for next December.

Good luck.
