Borrowing points question...

A friend asked me this, and because I’m not 100% sure, I’m asking you all. Ok...friend had a few points in his June 2019 uy. He wants to book a trip for March ‘19 and obviously doesn’t have enough points. Can he borrow from his June 2020 yr for a trip in March ‘19?

I think the answer would be no because technically he would be traveling in his 2018 UY (in March 2019) thus only having access to borrowing the 2019 points. Now if it was June 2019 or after then yes he could borrow the 2020 points

That’s how I figured it too.

June 2019 UY: june2019-may31,2020

So march 2019 is in the June 2018 UY.

2020 will only borrow back to become June 2019 UY.
