Borrowing points glitch

Evening all! We have recently completed on our first contract (wooo!) but been having issue after issue when booking when it came to borrowing. I would call member services asking if they could make the reservation and they wouldn’t see the availability, and turns out there was an issue with making reservations when it came to borrowing points. I thought I was going crazy! Anyone else experiencing this? Just so mad that I’ve lost two opportunities for a poly stay because of this and was made out to feel I was wrong! (Just to state I’m not been negative)

I've had no issue. I did see on my screen that it says I can borrow X number of points when I knew I couldn't borrow that many because it would bring me over my 50% limit. Are you trying to borrow more than 50%?

Did you purchase resale? There is a well-known glitch with borrowing when it comes to some resale members. A quick search on here will yield lots and lots of results.

Currently, members are allowed to borrow up to 50% of their points. The system will not allow you to borrow more than that.

There are several reports of booking problems when there is a need to borrow from a contract that was purchased via resale. Sorry it's happening to you.

All you can do is call MS. We've been told they are working on the problem, but so far, no progress has been made as far as we know.

This has been going on for almost two years since the rule was changed to 50%. It happens to many different accounts and no one really understands what the difference is, except it seems to impact more resale contracts.

All you can do is call and have them help you. Some of us have no issues borrowing online, from resale or direct, or even multiple times. Others can not do it at all.

Definitely not borrowing more than 50% just wanted 3 points haha so sounds like we’ve been lumbered with the broken resale contract, great! The odd thing is it let us borrow for our first booking, but then wanted to borrow a small amount more (just to confirm less than 50%)

This shouldn’t effect booking for the next use year should it , it’s just simply when borrowing?

That is what some have experienced. First time, no issue borrowing. But, an issue for the second time. You should have no issues with bookings that don't require borrowing.
