Borrowing Points from Two Contracts (Same Use Year) for One Reservation

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered before. Having two contracts I'm trying to avoid being left with a small number of points on one or the other and not able to use them.

Is it possible when you make a reservation to borrow points from more than one of your contracts at a time? For instance, I have a contract for 100 and one for 25 at two different resorts with the same use year. If I needed 35 points for a reservation, could I borrow 15 from one and 20 from the other? Or is only one borrowing transaction available online so I'd have to take it from the 100 point contract?

I made a reservation for 22 points a few months ago. I only had 12 in the current use year, so I needed 10 from 2019. My 2019 contracts had 100 points and 3 points. I don't remember it allowing me to borrow from the 3 point contract first to clear it out and then use the other 7 points from the 100 point contract. To me, that would have been a smart thing to do to make sure there aren't 3 miscellaneous points next year.

Similarly, you may have plans on the smaller contract where you need the home resort advantage, so you want to leave a certain amount of points available in a future year and split your borrowing between two contracts. I'm guessing you can do this on the phone with Member Services, but probably not online.

Anyone have any experience?

When booking, you can specify how many points are borrowed from each contract at the 7 month mark.

First click on the contract(s) you want to use. A popup window then asks you to specify how many points to borrow from each contract.Borrow_Points.png

Good to know. Don’t remember seeing something like that on the site. Glad it is available (or available now).
