Hello Everyone!

If you happen to see or know <name removed> on VMK could you please ask him to give the bat magic (NOT the one time use) back to reallycutebear.

Also a quick reminder to all those generous people on VMK - unfortunately when people ask you to "borrow" or "try out" your items you can't always count on getting them back.

There is a good chance he will not give it back if you tell him to. I'm sorry but if you let somebody 'borrow' your magic it's your own fault. More that likely they will take it run away never to be seen again. I'm sorry if you or your friend did this all I can say is you learn from your mistakes

It actually happened to my daughter's friend, not me. As an adult I am very aware of the fact that you can't always trust others. What is unfortunate in these instances is that you have to learn from your mistake of being too trusting while the person who "stole" walks away learning nothing.

Anyway, I realize that most likely it will not be returned and really wanted to get the word out to other trusting kids to be aware that this happens all too frequently.

I am sorry it happened to your daughter's friend but posting the name of the person who "borrowed" her bat magic is the same as posting a scammers name and we do not allow that here on the DIS VMK forums.

I hope it is returned, wish her luck.

Hard lesson to learn.

Sorry about that. Could you please close thread so I do not get flamed while trying to assure justice is served.

Thanks

I'm so sorry to hear of this.

This is one of my problems with how VMK treat these cases. Yes, a lesson should be learned by those letting people "borrow" their stuff.
But, those that took off with the items should also learn a lesson.

I think that VMK decided not to "interfere" in these situations because of all the problems that could arise from it. Such as people just giving gifts. It could be hard to distinguish between gift giving and borrowing.

But, they can access the chat logs and trade logs and see if the person was "borrowing" or not. These people should be punished and the trusting person should learn their lesson, but get their items back.

cteddies girl,

So glad that you feel the same way. I love that my kids are on VMK; I really feel it's a safe enviroment for them and do like how cautious the staff are with certain things.

Just wish there was a way they could monitor these "borrowing" problems a little more closely so those taking advantage of others can be "banned." It seems like they ban people for such trivial things at times and when contacted for the real issues nothing is done.

Sorry for ranting.
