Borrowing Advice

We are coming up on 11 months for a trip we are planning and will need to bank/borrow in order to get 3 studios for the 6 night trip. My question is should we for whatever reason eventually need to cancel one or two of the reservations would the borrowed/banked points be used FIRST on the remaining reservation(s)? If so is this automatic or would it be best to call to make sure they used the correct points? At the moment we just have one contract so it shouldn't be too convoluted.

There is a chance that we may add at another resort same UY prior to booking this trip which would eliminate the need to borrow but would probably add a layer of confusion for we newbs.

They will not automatically reallocate. You have to do it yourself or call. But, as long as the cancellation happens more than 31 days out, then it’s easy to do by modifying the reservation still there and just following through to the end without changing anything.

The new contract would simply get checked when booking like your first one. This way any banked or borrowed points from either get used up first!

TY, so if I understand correctly prior to 31 days I would cancel any reservation that did not use any borrowed points and just keep the one that did need to use them ... We will also be using some banked points for this reservation as well so that same scenario would hold true there too I assume. In other words in the end we want to use any banked and/or borrowed points first before using current UY points.

Yes we will need to watch that and adjust our length of stay accordingly.
