So if you cancel a trip made with borrowed points do they go back to their original use year or stay in the one that they were borrowed into? If they stay in the borrowed year can they be banked? I am fairly certain of the answers, just wanted to double check. TIA :thumbsup2

banking and borrowing are "final" transactions.

once you bank or borrow pts, they stay in their new UY and cannot be moved again...they cannot be put back into their original UY and they will expire at the end of their new UY. (and once pts have been banked or borrowed, they cannot be banked or borrowed again - you can move them one UY over and that's it. only current pts can be banked or borrowed.)

if you have a reservation made with current UY pts and cancel one with banked/borrowed pts, you can sometimes reallocate the pts and put the banked/borrowed pts into the remaining reservation and then bank the current pts that were freed up.
