Borrow then cancel?

am i correct in assuming that when you borrow points from next year's UY for a vacation this year - then subsequently cancel the ressie - the points do NOT return to next year? are they "stuck" in the current year - i.e. the UY to which you borrowed them to make the initial ressie?

if someone could clarify, that would be great!

Borrowed vacation points may not be banked, transferred, or returned to their original Use Year. All borrowing transactions are final and irreversible.

You are correct. Once you borrow, you MUST use them in the current year. You can't bank.

But, if you have current year points and are still within your banking deadlines, you can at least bank them.
