I had an understanding, a realization, actually an epiphany.. Since I retired from coaching Girls' HS Basketball a couple of years ago, I still am a volunteer in the programs. A Dad, who is a spin cast fisherpeeple, asked if I would teach his Middle School daughter (Future athletic scholarship for this young lady) TO FLY FISH. She is fascinated by it. Dad said can I tag along, I may learn and take it up also. Boy do they have good taste. They picked the clone of Sir Izaak Walton, ME.--
Attached are 2 Pics--1st PIC some of my flies. Good starting point for teaching. 2nd PIC---a #22 dry, 1/2 the size of my pinky finger nail. Try tieng this to a leader.Down below the pictures, a narrative of 1st Lesson.

These young Kids really ask the right questions. Looking at the flies, the young lady ; What did you catch with this one ? NOTHING. How about this one ? NOTHING. This one ? Nothing and on and on and on. Quickly. Now let's go out to the pond and practice casting.
MY EPIPHANY---This stuff catches fisherpeeeples, not fish.
john XXXX out Sir Izaak Walton.
