Borders Books coupon question

Has anyone used the xx% OFF list price any one item coupons to buy toys?
They have Lego sets and I was wondering...

I have in the past with no problem, except this past Saturday. I tried it with a Lego set and the cashier said it could not be used because it specified off one book. Told her I had used them in the past, still no. But, I know I have used one for a book on Legos at least 5 times. Guess it just depends on the cashier.

Borders issues different coupons for the xx% off -- some explicitly say "off one book" (which can only be used on books obviously) and some explicitly say "off one item" (which can be used on anything in the store with the exception of the few items it mentions in small print on the coupon).

We use the "off any item" on Webkinz.

If it says off of one item, not one book, no problem. I use them all the time.
