Booster seat

Florida law doesn't require booster seats if that is what your asking.

Florida law requires a car seat for children 3 and under and a seatbelt for children age 4 & 5.

Not sure what the rules are, never heard of the 8 thing. I know in the states, every state has their own laws. Curious to what the law is in Florida, if anyone might happen to know. Thanks!

Remember that the laws of physics trump the laws of any individual state. A 7yo does not properly fit the adult belt, so yes, he needs a booster seat... but Florida law does not require it.

A Harmony Literider is $13 at WalMart and could save your kid's life... it's small and lightweight and easy to carry on a plane. I am all about convenience within the realm of safety. :)

I don't recall asking for seat options. I have my own. I'm amazed that my 4'4 bff in hs ever got to drive a car. I ask about booster seats...and I'm slammed! Stupid. Ty.

No one was slamming you, someone was just helpfully suggesting low cost options for booster seats. No need for such a rude response.

Remember, you are not the parent of anyone elses kid but your own.

Saying that, I know my kids. I know the law. In many states the law is seriously lacking. In many states the law is way to strict.

My state requires the 80 pounds or 8 year old rules. But, in my car, my child at 6 years old and 60 pounds propperly fit in the seat and seat belt. So my kid was out of a booster at age 6. My second child will be on about the same schedule.

I am the parent, i know whats best for my kid. the government does not. Use common sense. you know if your kids needs a booster seat or not. so will a cop if you get pulled over. They are not going to ask for a birth certifficate, or pull out a scale.
