Hi, I am looking for the nearest Bookstore since Virgin Megastore is no more.:sad2: I am an avid reader and like to pick up books on my vacation, I will take a few books down there but also enjoy browsing a Bookstore while on vacation. :) Thanks, Joan

I don't know if its the nearest one, but I do like to go to the Borders outlet at the Lake Buena Vista factory store...

I have only one word for you : Kindle.

Seriously, I love mine and expect it to pay for itself shortly with the discount I get off hardcovers I can't wait to become paperbacks. Plus I have my library with me so I can switch between Austen, Meyer and Grisham at will. You can buy books right from the device--no computer or modem required.

Just a thought.

We go to the Barnes and Noble on West Sand Lake Road. It's in the Dr. Phillip's Restaurant row area. It is about a ten minute drive from the Crossroads.

The one in the Lake Buena vista store is a discount store. There's a lot of good deals to get there. I take Kari there to pick up books occasionally. I just don't find good sales at B&N.
And thre's a lot of newer books too.

I actually found it kind of funny that Aquatica has a stand with just novels. I guess for the moms that want to sit next to the water and relax all day.

Yes, this is just north of Disney property, there is also another large bookstore in The Loop, which is just east on Osceola Parkway (the road that goes behind Pop Century (Scopa Towers) and past Disney's Wide World of Sports. Over I-4, past Gaylord Palms, pay one TOLL, about 1 mile more east on the left side. The Loop is a large shopping center (not outlet stores) with most large chain stores (JC Penney, Kohl's, AE, Old Navy) and restaurants.

The store in the Loop is Books A Million and you can get some good deals there. I highly recommend the Loop for a shopping alternative to DISNEY

Just in case you cannot get to a bookstore as quickly as you would like the sundry shops at all the resorts have magazines and a handful of books:goodvibes
